Inspector Brandtner is smuggled into gaol posing as a criminal in order to convict a dangerous bomber. Brandtner and the criminal escape during a staged prison convoy. The location they choose as their hide-out turns out to be Brandtner's house. The criminal does not trust Brandtner and manages to slip away unnoticed.
